Our community recently suffered a tragic car wreck that resulted in the loss of a high school student's life. The three families of the students involved in the wreck are coping with great sadness.
We would like to extend our sympathy and prayers to those families.
It appears from the reports, that alcohol was a major factor in this terrible wreck.
Was this tragic accident a message to our community that we in New Albany and Floyd County need to do more to help prevent alcohol related accidents.
Parents, schools, churches and local government need to work together to help solve this alcohol problem. We do not want to see another life lost because of alcohol.
We would like to suggest a "Town Hall Meeting" of parents, schools, church and local government to find ways to prevent alcohol tragedies and loss of life.
