TWO MILLION $ BOONDOGGLE....

Our beef with the repairs of the Spring Street Hill project is that this is being done simply for the advantage of the people of that neighborhood. And it ties up TIF money for twenty years when we desperately need money in our General Fund.

Does Bob Caesar even know what is breaking down the road on Spring Street Hill?

First, it was rain damage now they think it's over weight trucks. Mr. Caesar thinks "I'd even recommend a camera on the hill to keep heavy trucks off of the hill."

And again, we will type slower for those of you who don't get it.

He must NOT travel Cherry Street Hill in July or August. Because if he did he would KNOW why the friggin' Spring Street Hill continues collapsing.

Sweet baby Jesus....

It's "unhealthy raw sewage" that continues to flourish along the road and hill side.

Bob Caesar is incapable of solving any of the problems that have crippled Spring Street Hill.

Maybe if we voters pushed for a law that would withhold their pay on bad decisions we might get something fixed right.

Councilman Bob Caesar is an "oxymoron" if he thinks these repairs will fix the problem...you just wait and see!

"JOE UNHINGED..."

When Joe Biden agreed to run as Vice President on an Obama ticket, he traded his blue collar credentials for the leash collar of the Liberal Progressive Obama master.

He has acted the role of Obama's attack dog ever since, lifting his leg upon our Constitutional laws, rights and freedoms and pursued and attacked the values of straight American men and women like a Liberal entitlement dog in heat.

The louder he barks the more you know he realizes his chances of getting sent to the Democrat "Animal Farm" of discarded useful idiots is growing faster and more furious.

They already sent him to their Obamacare veterinary doctor to remove his manhood and implant the Party neuticals of a democrat ideology that gave him the appearance of being whole and productive, but never produce anything of value when called upon to preform just like his master.

What Biden's parents "may have said" is very different from what progressives are saying today, that it's OK to be dependent on the government. Look at Obama's Julia website, for instance.

"They just don't get US," made our heads cock like a dog hearing a high pitched noise. NO surprise here...and YES, we DO just get you, and in fact, we see right through you!

WAY TO GO FACEBOOK...

Congratulations to Facebook on it's IPO today. Showing once again that "Capitalism and Ingenuity" are the engines of growth, not the Nanny State. Today Facebook completed a journey from a Dorm room experiment to a 109B + company and we congratulate them.

The people at Facebook have devised an amazing platform for the whole world to reach out to each other. It's brought family and friends together, helped bring together social movements and keep people up to date on information they never would have gotten elsewhere.

It is a testament to Capitalism and what the private sector can do, better, more efficiently and with less bureaucracy than the many states.

Again, way to go Facebook!

THUMBS UP ~ THUMBS DOWN....

Thumbs up - way up - to Matt Denison in making A Night of Hoops and Hope for Southern Indiana Tornado Relief Benefit a great big success. You worked so hard on this and we here at Freedom Of Speech applaud you Mr. Denison. It's truly ashamed Mr. Mayor let his ego get in the way and let such valueable employee get away...
---

Thumbs -way - way down - to The News and Tribune, why haven't you told the taxpayers about the NAPD wanting 17 new police cars? Just think of all the newspapers you could sell if you printed the facts and truth about our local government.
---

Thumbs way up - to  Council President Diane McCartin-Benedetti for replacing $100,000 back in EDIT.
---

Thumbs way up - to Councilman Kevin  Zurschmiede introducing a seperation of commingling of funds. It's a win-win for taxpayers.
---

Thumbs up - way up -  to State Rep. Ed Clere and Lois Endris for stepping in for the "little people" with our property tax problem with the Auditor.

SOUNDS LIKE BARRY IS GETTING DESPERATE...

After saying for the past ten years of political life that marriage is defined as between a man and a woman, and  quoted saying, "I don't think marriage is a civil right" is NOW flip-flopping on the issue because he is losing votes and a lot of campaign dollars.

Whether or not his position is right or wrong, it demonstrates once again that Obama has NO spine and is a weak man who won't stand by his convictions or he never had convictions and was just mouthing the words in order to fool America and get re-elected, regardless it shows once again HOW WEAK OBAMA IS!"

Obama is NOT a man of his word or conviction and will say anything to get a vote.

What's even more amusing is that this is an issue that Barry (Obama) cannot do one, single, solitary thing about.

Nothing at all...

We figure that a special word like "bigot" will appear next in the "local blogosphere" and so be it.

WHY VOTE? BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU A VOICE...

Citizens of New Albany can participate in their state and local government. This process insures that power will always remain where it belongs - with the people.

The most important right citizens have is the right to vote. By voting, the people have a voice in state and local government. The people decide who will represent them in government.

Before voting in an, election, each citizen should be well informed about the issues and candidates.

Why We Should Vote

* To speak your mind:

Your vote is your choice. It tells the candidates and elected officials how you feel about important issues.

* To make them listen:

Your vote is your voice, too. When we turn out to vote, you can bet that the politicians know it - and you can be sure, when we all crank up that voice, they'll pay attention to what we say.

* For our community:

Do you ever wonder why one certain area seems to get it all? One big reason is voting. When we vote, we get results.

* For our children:

Our children can't vote-so we have to do it for them. That's how we make our views known about safety, schools, borrowing, debt, and the environment and other issues that will affect our childrens future in Floyd County.

* To control our future:

Elected officials make decisions that affect our daily lives. The individuals we vote for will make decisions about our quality of life.

* To stop something:

Voting let's you stop complaining about things going on in our community. It puts you the voter in the driver's seat instead of under the bus!

* To win:
In every election year, some races are decided by just a handful of votes. Those who vote demand respect. When we vote, we win.

The right of the people to vote is invaluable in the creation of local and state government that is bound to the will of "ALL" the people.

Freedom Of Speech would like to say:
We are urging each of you to take the time to do your part and
Vote today Tuesday May 8th...

WE WANT LESS BOARDS NOT MORE....

Why is the City Council so in favor of setting up more Boards and Commissions? Each new Board is a financial cost burden on the  backs of taxpayers.

Each New Board needs:
 * supplies
* computers
* a paid attorney
* mileage costs
* paid consultants

Why doesn't the City Council concentrate on projects that will, "Put the shovel in the Ground."

And:
* cleanup trash and unsafe houses
* stop stormwater flooding
* enforce the laws now in the Code Book

OK - "City Council" and "Mayor Gahan", get your heads out of the clouds and see the "Real work" THAT needs to be done in New Albany!
