Freedom Of Speech would like to say longevity is paid the 2nd pay in February and an employee has to have a 1 year anniversary date by Jan. 31 of the payout year. (i.e., someone who starts work on February 1 would have to wait 2 years to receive a longevity pay.)
Again Freedom Of Speech would like to know:
Do New Albany Police Officers deserve this much longevity pay? Contract or union it sure seems like a large "chunk of change" of taxpayers money being wasted!
About 82% of the City of New Albany's budget is used on our Police and Fire Department. And about 90% of New Albany's Police and Fire Department budget is used strickly for salaries!
What's wrong with this picture taxpayers?
note: Longevity pay is considered as vacation pay.
