NEWS FLASH FROM WASHINGTON D.C.

General Motors plan to lay off about 1,600 white-collar works over the next few days.

GM North American President Clarke writes in his email."Even for those employees staying, it will be difficult to see our friends and co-workers leaving our company."

GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson stated: employees will get severance pay of two weeks for every year of service, up to six month's.

No news yet, as to how many of those laid off are vice presidents, assistant vice presidents, executive presidents, deputy vice presidents, and etc.

Our source in Washington states: "There will be further reductions in manpower, people that are going to affect communities, affect plants and people on the hourly and salary side of the business."

GM plans to pay out record bonuses to it's executive staff!
