CONGRESS MEMBERS: PUT UP OR SHUT UP!
Sure, we that really pay attention will know and understand what is really going on in Washington.
We've been there protesting several times!
If there are threats, specific threats, sure, investigate them as they normally would. There have been threats against government officials as long as there has been government.
We saw stories on CNN and MSNBC about phone calls that have been left to the members. We noted that they used the word "threat" several times, but the recorded messages they played included no threats, just name calling and rude messages.
Can someone honestly tell us that this didn't happen just as much on the other side when the anti-war movement was at it's peak?
Can someone honestly say that negative, crude phone calls haven't been the normal experience of U.S. congresspeople since the invention of the telephone?
It's part of being in the public eye and making decisions that are going to upset people.
The real victims in this entire healthcare vote are the American people, not the Congress members who cry "racist and accuse protesters of using the N word."
As with any news story that comes out of Washington, BS detectors should be fully functioning!
There is several video's that conclusively shows that there was no spitting or slurs, check this one out:
This video of Carson of Indiana and Lewis shows none of it during that walk. The AP carries the story that Carson said to a reporter the "N-word" was said "15 times" during his walk from the Cannon House Office Building. First of all, we are amazed he would wait around to count 15 times, and secondly, you view the video and see if these words were ever used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SCs6pSE8_1
We are sure that we could show many more that the "threats" are nothing in the run of things, but to listen to CNN, MSNBC, CBS and NBC, this was unprecedented rage that surely showed a murderer around every corner.
Give us a break!
Political theatre designed to smear the Tea Party and wrong-foot Republicans and make them play defense...
Our answer, "Show us who EXACTLY spit on you or called you the "N" word!" and when everything else fails "you democrats play the Obama race card!"
And when these threats and actions are verified and then laid at the foot of Tea Party members, THEN we'll talk! Until that time this is just speculation and Obama's, Pelosi's, Reid's, and democrat's planted rumors.
We marched September 12, 2009, with well over 1.3 million, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, African Americans, and every religious group on this earth. Not one arrest, nor any fights, this is all to make Tea Party groups look bad.
Come join Freedom Of Speech on April 15, 2010 in Washington, DC and see for yourselves!

TO OUR 9 COUNCIL MEMBERS:
Try finding other solutions before you raise our sewer rates...
18% & 17% sewer rate increase is not acceptable! Dig more into TIFS, CDBG and more EDIT Funds.
18% & 17% sewer rate increase is not acceptable! Dig more into TIFS, CDBG and more EDIT Funds.
We really don't need a $12 million Parking Garage nor do we need to continue bailing out the Police and Fire.
Btw, who do you work for: the taxpayers or Mayor England?

BYE, BYE....BARON HILL:
Your political career is over. Kiss your house seat goodbye.
Hussein Odumbo and Botox Pelosi mixed up a big old batch of "Baylor's Brewhouse Kool-aid" and convinced you to drink up and walk the plank.
"You're a bigger dumb ass than we thought."
You said it better than we ever could:
"In the short term, it's going to cost me!"
You got that right! "Bye, Bye...Baron Hill.
Didn't you learn anything over the last 14 month's?
"Once a Muslim, Always A Muslim."

AN OPEN LETTER TO BARON HILL...
Congress has a history of destroying businesses, families, economics and lives based on good intentions. Good faith efforts are fine, but you will not be able to undo the massive damage after the fact.
The unintended consequences of this bill will destroy our health care system.
Government ran health care programs (Medicare, Medicaid and VA) are now and have always been on the verge of collapse.
If you haven't fixed the waste, fraud and abuse in these systems, why should we trust you to fix our private plan?
Should health care be improved? insurance reform? (Yes) however not on this massive scale. This Bill needs to be scraped before our country is destroyed by the massive cost in the form of money, jobs and lives.
Name one time that a government take over of anything has resulted in saving money.
How many $700 hammers will it take to fix Floyd Memorial Hospital? How many $500 bedpans will they have to order?
How much government paper work will our insurance provider have to fill out for our stubbed toe or broken bones?
Has Congress thought of all the added cost they are pulling into the system? (NO) Will our premiums go up? (Yes).
President Obama said "you can Keep your Doctor and Keep your plan". NOT if the plan goes under or our doctor drops our plan.
Think of all the mess that will be because of your vote.
Your duty is to represent the citizens of this state!
If you want to represent Obama, Pelosi, lobbyist, the big corporations or the unions, you will be accountable.
There will be plenty of Citizens who will be making plenty of campaign contributions to your opponents!
The time is coming for the American people (those that work and pay taxes) to make a serious choice, and take a stand. We're losing our country. Does anyone care?

STRANGERS ON MY FLIGHT...
Strangers on my flight,
turbans they're packin',
Wonderin' if they might;
plan a hijacking.
They could pull a stunt,
before the flight is through.
Something's on their minds,
I saw them mutter.
What that in their hands?
Looks like box cutters.
I'm gonna kick some ass;
if they make a move.
Strangers on my flight.
Two smelly people,
and they're not talking right;
and in a moment,
I will grab my base ball bat;
and that will be that.
Swing like Joe DiMaggio,
and rip rip them both a new a-hole.
And if they pick a fight,
and try to screw us,
I'll punch their lights,
just like Joe Louis.
It would feel so right,
for strangers on my flight.
Ratta Tat Tat Tat,
Budda Bing Bang Boom,
Zooma Zooma Zoom,
Send those bastards
to the moon!

Re: New Albany Floyd County Schools Restructuring Plan
Ladies and Gentleman:
I am writing to express my official position regarding the proposed Budget Reduction information/Plan for which the NAFCCSC Board will ask to approve this coming Thursday, March 11, 2010, to wit:
I would like to thank Dr. Hibbard for meeting with me on Wednesday, March 3,2010 to explain the contents of the plan and his pending recommendation. While I do not envy the fiscal predicament that the NAFCCSC finds itself, I understand the difficult choices you must make to manage your fiscal affairs. You have my unqualified empathy, and I encourage you to make decisions that will benefit our community in the long run.
There are four aspects of he Plan that cause me pause:
1. Being the husband of a retired teacher with 42 years of experience and service, I am concerned about the proposal to move 5th graders to middle schools. I will not belabor the specific reasons why, as they were well articulated at your public hearing on Monday, March 8, 2010.
2. The NAFCCSC is a diverse socio-economic community. Like many metropolitan communities, it contains many races and ethnicities. It would be a tragedy to abandon the resources currently allocated by the NAFCCSC to it's diversity staff.
3. From the information provided, it is difficult for me or citizens to understand what savings, reserves and rainy day funds would be used to shore up the recommended option. Without this information, it is difficult to understand why no other restructuring alternatives exist - ones that could save a central school or perhaps two.
4. I am also concerned that the recommended option will close three elementary schools within the City of New Albany, in particular, the Children's Academy and Silver Street are essential facilities to the vitality of the neighborhoods that surround them. I am fearful that their closure will have detrimental impact on the children, families and property values. The fact is many households have made significant investment choices to reside in these "walkable" neighborhoods because of the proximity of the schools that are slated for closure.
With respect to Silver Street School and the Children's Academy, I would be remiss if I did not point out that the City of New Albany is currently in the process of developing a new five-year plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. While the City cannot utilize the CDBG Program to fund the operating costs of a neighborhood school, the City could make a financial contribution to implement accessibility improvements (elevator, ADA improvements, et cetera) to Silver Street School and /or similar improvements to the Children's Academy to avoid closure.
Finally, a common refrain heard at the Public Hearing was the rather short period of time allowed for the public to understand and comment on the recommended option or other alternatives. If the Board of Directors is interested in the City's participation through the CDBG Program, I would suggest a discussion with the City Staff before making a final decision.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Douglas B. England
Mayor
Freedom Of Speech would like to say:
Mayor England again is misleading the Silver Street School neighborhood. His exact words month's ago when he was notified of the potential closings: I don't blame you for closing Silver Street School!"
The City of New Albany's mayor is completely self-absorbed. We haven't seen such shameless, narcissistic, self promoter in a long time...
He is a true politicians!!!!

LEt THE HEALTHCARE MARCH MADNESS BEGIN....
The first question to ask Congressman Hill is: If this new health plan is so great, why aren't you and your family covered by THIS plan. If It is good enough for average Americans, it should be good enough for you and your family, the President, and all unions and government employees.
Remember the "mob" in 1776? It's pretty much the same people.
The American people will inherited this trillion dollar debt, not the president.
How can you or anyone else blame the Tea Party Movement just because these scum politicians are getting hit with the truth of what they have been doing to us?
We need to ensure that he or she that runs for office is accountable to those that elected them and not to those who bought them.
Right Mr. England?
When we can not feed our people, cannot educate our children, cannot provide health care, cannot provide housing, cannot protect our elderly, then what was the reason why we came to this land?
The reason people are rising up is because the democrats in Congress are out of Control and republicans are impotent to stop this avalanche.
We must make our Congressional Representatives understand that if they ram this bill through and it passes, the fight will not be over. It will be just beginning. They need to realize that if this bill passes, they will see us protesting at their townhalls and any public event they attend.
We will not stop!
Let the Healthcare March Madness Begin!!!

MR. KOZAROVICH: "WHY WON'T THE TRIBUNE PRINT THIS LETTER?"
Dear Editor:
The New Albany Sewer Board through its hired guns and its minority of supporters are attempting to pass an exorbitant rate hike through without justifying its case to the city council and more importantly, the rate payers of the utility.
There are many questions that need to be addressed and options to consider before a rate increase should be proposed. Foremost is how did the sewer utility go from EPA compliance and a solid financial condition under the previous administration and Board to one of financial crisis and back under the probing eyes of the EPA?
Sewer boards officials stated that there has been a significant loss of revenue, which according to them has led to the current fiscal condition. This could account for cash flow problems, but the real problem is a lack of oversight and sound fiscal policy by the current sewer board, it is an issue of not establishing safeguards to manage bond debt and outside expertise to monitor the utilities finances as the previous board did.
This critical error by the sewer board casts serious doubts on its ability to prudently manage the utility and further calls into question their creditability.
Secondly, how complete was the rate study and why is the firm that conducted the rate study the same one that has been involved in every major rate increase in Indiana? It appears that this firm did not evaluate alternatives as many rate consultants will do and has a vested interest to produce a report that the sewer board wanted rather than what's best for the rate payers.
Lastly, why do the sewer board officials, the administration and its minority of citizen supporters view EDIT funds as "off the table?"Do they not understand that a better use of EDIT is to keep New Albany sewer rates competitive in order to spur economic development rather than build a $12 million downtown garage and other white elephants, that do nothing to create sustainable jobs, ie: real economic development"
If sewer rates are raised excessively not only will they serve as a deterrent to future growth, but they will also create a situation where the customers base, rate payers both residential and commercial will move elsewhere thus further causing the utility revenue issues.
I would urge the city council to ask these questions and demand more transparency from this sewer board before passing a rate increase, it's your duty by ordinance.

PELOSI
Pelosi is the POSTER Child for the "Government doesn't give-a-damn about the PEOPLE" campaign.
She sounds just like the Mayor of New Albany!
The Modus Operandi is to rush a bill through Congress that nobody has read, or understands. Even though the bill doesn't go into effect until 3 years from now.
We simply do not understand Pelosi. She once had all the power, but now appears to be losing it through ineptitude, incompetence and downright arrogance.
Blue dogs, centrists and independents are fed up with her pandiziong and vitriolic spin, not to mention her attempt to jam a "health care" bill through, that is now even more confusing and convoluted than ever.
If, God forbid, anything were to happen to the President, she is next in line to be Vice President of the U.S.
What a scary thought.
How can anyone so highly disrespected and disliked by a plurality of Americans, be in such a lofty position?
She and her husband are allegedly worth $80+ million.
How about first class aboard a commercial airline at your own expense?
Instead of a flight home to San Francisco on a first class Air Force jet every single weekend at taxpayers expense?
Where in these bills is any provision that will lower cost?
And we agree it is wrong to drop insurance for a trivial reason, but adding another entitlement program solves this problem how?
Funny how we hear how private sector is always more cost effective, yet Pelosi states government run healthcare is more cost effective.
However, what is being offered is not healthcare reform. It is instituting another insurance company [public option/co-op] that has government underwriting to get an unfair business advantage. Most people when they hear "healthcare reform" are thinking about lowering costs.
How does adding another "payer" lower the cost without price fixing? And if you fix prices at an artificial low level why should anyone provide those services?
