NEW ELECTION LAWS NOW REQUIRE VALID ID- Make sure you can vote on Election Day May 2

New state election laws now require you to provide valid photo identification (ID) before you can cast your ballot on Primary Election Day May 2. Acceptable forms of state or federal issued ID are:

* A current Indiana Driver's License

* An Indiana ID card issued by BMV license branches to those who do not drive.

* A state university student ID card with photo and an expiration date.

* A passport or a military ID.

Your name on the ID must conform to your name on the voters registration record and include an expiration date, which is either not expired or has expired after November 4, 2004.

Those who do not drive can get a state ID card free of charge at any license branch. All license branches will be open the day before and on Election Day.
