OH NO!--"NOT THE K&I BRIDGE"
The barge was one of three that broke loose on the Ohio River Thursday afternoon. Two of the barges were contained but the third got tangled up near the McAlpine locks and then went over the spillway before eventually hitting the K&I railroad bridge. The US Coast Guard will continue to monitor the bridge overnight.
Valla Ann Bolovscak was appointed to the Greenway Commission by Indiana Gov. Daniels. Thru Valla Ann's long days and hard work she has united both Louisville and Indiana Officials in connecting the Indiana Greenway Project to the Louisville Waterfront and River walk.
Freedom Of Speech believes as long as the K&I Bridge has no structural damage,. that Valla Ann will continue to focus on and will work for all the citizens of New Albany to make the bike-and-pedway happen. If anyone can make this project a success it will be Valla Ann Bolovscak. Her hardwork, determination and common sense approach will make alot of great things start to happen in New Albany for all of us.
